Microsoft announces free antivirus software (MSE)

Microsoft has announced Microsoft Security Essentials (MSE) an antivirus software to protect the computers against viruses, spyware, rootkits, and trojans. This software is currently under testing by the Microsoft employees and few testers. MSE will help users fight the threats that plague Windows PCs.
A beta release of MSE has already been released on June 23, 2009 for the first 75,000 users. This download is available in English and Brazilian Portuguese for public download at
