Running Java Applets in Safari browser on Mac

When you trying to access a Java applets in Safari browser on Mac you might notice the following error “Application Blocked by Security Settings” – Your security settings have blocked an untrusted application from running.

Listed below are the steps to resolve this issue.

Step 1: Access System Preferences on your Mac.

Step 2: Select Java under System Preferences.

Step 3: Then open the Java Control Panel

Step 4: Navigate to Security and click Edit Site List

Step 5: In the Exception Site List, click Add button to enter the website url which contain the applet.

Click OK button to close the Exception Site List window.

Step 6: Click Continue in the Security Warning – HTTP Location dialog box.

Step 7: Then click OK button in the Java Control Panel to close the window.

Step 8: Launch Safari browser and access the Java Applet URL (If Safari browser is already open then close and re-open it).
