Screen capture in Excel

Excel 2016 & 2013 allows users to insert screenshot of open windows or take quick snapshot of part of screen. The screen capture feature in Excel is available as part of the Insert menu.

How to take screenshot in Microsoft Excel

Click the Insert menu and navigate to Illustrations section.

Under Illustrations section, click the Screenshot option.

Now if you want to insert any open windows, then you can choose the window under Available Windows section. And if you only want to insert part of window then you go for Screen Clipping option.

After inserting the screenshot, you should be able to find range of picture formatting tools within Excel Application itself. This includes Picture Styles, Colour, Artistic Styles, Picture Border, Picture Effects, Crop Tool and many more.
