Show or hide style pane in Word 2013

In this tutorial, we are going to see the steps to show or hide style pane in Microsoft Word.

What is Style pane?

Style pane allows word users to create new styles, edit styles and preview styles after modification. If you want to use the basic formatting option then navigate to Home menu > Styles group. Advanced styles feature can be accessed from the Styles pane. Let us see the instruction to show/hide styles pane and move the style pane to the sidebar.

Click the Advanced option under Styles section to access the Style pane.

If you want take quick preview of each style then mark the check box with label as “Show Preview

If you are going to access the Style pane frequently then you can drag and drop to the left hand side of your word document. This would allow you to quickly try different formatting styles for your document.

For closing the Styles pane use the x mark. And by clicking the arrow pointing downwards on style pane, you get option to move or resize or close the pane.
