The default value for Empty Spam Folder is set to Once a month. But if you are receiving too many spams with in a week time then change this value to Once a week.

Automatically move spam to Spam folder

If you want Yahoo Mail’s Spam Guard to automatically identify and move spam to Spam folder then mark the check box with label as “Automatically move spam to Spam folder”. Also you can help Spam Guard by marking any spam emails that was mistakenly delivered to you Inbox. By this way similar emails received in future will be marked as spam and will be moved to the spam folder.

Show images in emails

Yahoo Mail always displays images in email messages except for the emails in Spam folder. But if you want to have more protection then set the value for Show images in emails to Only from contacts and certified senders. And if you receive any emails with images in your inbox from unknown sender, then the images will be blocked.

If you think the email is safe then click the Show images button to display the picture.
